The Dallas Cowboys are not wasting time celebrating the team’s thrilling victory over the New York Giants as the front office has already turned their attention to the Chicago Bears matchup in Week 3. Following the win, owner Jerry Jones had already revealed the Cowboys were on the verge of making a major move.
Unfortunately, this news was paired with one of the team’s starters now slated to miss extended time. The Cowboys officially announced the signing of three-time Pro Bowler Jadevon Clowney.
Dallas did not need to release a player to make the move as the team also placed starting center Cooper Beebe on injured reserve.
Here’s what you need to know about the Cowboys’ latest moves ahead of the team’s Week 3 clash against the Bears.
New Cowboys Pass Rusher Jadeveon Clowney Is Not Looking to Replace Micah Parsons
After joining the Cowboys, Clowney made it clear that he is not aiming to fill the void created by trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. Clowney admitted he could have played alongside Parsons, but that is no longer an option.
“Jadeveon Clowney said he’s not replacing Micah Parsons,” Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins detailed in a September 15, 2025, message on X. “‘No, that’s Micah Parsons. I’m Jadeveon Clowney. I came in here to be me. They could have used me with him.’”
