Cristiano Ronaldo Joins Forces with Ilia Topuria as WOW FC’s Newest Shareholder

Cristiano Ronaldo recently revealed his decision to enter the MMA world. He will join Ilia Topuria as the newest shareholder of WOW FC. The soccer legend believes the promotion has a bright future and a strong vision.

Ronaldo, 40, remains one of the most famous athletes in the world. He currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. Even with his focus on Al-Nassr and the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, ‘CR7’ has shown love for combat sports.

Ronaldo has attended boxing and MMA events. Now, he joins Topuria at WOW FC, where the UFC star has been serving as one of the key faces of the promotion.

The promotion operates out of Spain. Topuria lives there. Ronaldo spent nine years in Spain during his time with Real Madrid.

Ronaldo praised WOW FC’s direction. He wants to help the brand reach a higher level. His message shows clear belief in their work.

“MMA represents values I truly believe in – discipline, respect, resilience, and the constant pursuit of excellence,” Ronaldo said in a press release. “WOW FC is building something unique and powerful, and I’m proud to join this project to help elevate the sport and inspire the next generation.”

Ilia Topuria Reacts to Cristiano Ronaldo Joining WOW FC

Ilia Topuria shared his thoughts on Cristiano Ronaldo becoming WOW FC‘s newest shareholder. He believes Ronaldo’s arrival will raise the promotion to new heights. Topuria believes the sport will benefit as well.

He represents the highest standards of professionalism, hard work, and global excellence,” Topuria said in a press release. “Together, we will push MMA to new heights and inspire athletes and fans around the world to believe that anything is possible.”

Many fans may find their partnership surprising. Topuria once criticized Ronaldo after taking offense to comments he made about him.

The moment happened before Topuria’s featherweight title fight with Alexander Volkanovski. ‘CR7’ had made comments about ‘El Matador’s confidence. The comments were recorded in Ngannou’s locker room before his PFL debut.

The clip upset Topuria at the time. He later expressed his frustration on social media and in interviews. Ronaldo becoming a WOW FC shareholder shows that both men have likely moved past the issue.
