Dave Roberts Sends Emotional Message to Dodgers After World Series Win

Moments after clinching the 2025 World Series title, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts delivered a heartfelt and inspiring speech that captured the resilience and unity of his championship team.

As MLB.com noted, Dave Robert said:

“It looked bleak at times, but our guys never wavered,” Roberts said in the locker room celebration. “We asked more than guys have ever been asked, and they delivered.”

After capturing his third World Series title as Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts reflected on the journey with heartfelt emotion.

“What you guys accomplished this year is unprecedented,” Roberts told his team in the clubhouse. “Everything that we had to go through, no one ever wavered. You guys made it easy for me to believe in you guys. I coach because I love you guys.”

His message captured not just the joy of winning, but the grit and togetherness that pushed the Dodgers through one of the toughest postseason runs in team history.

A Game 7 For the Ages

Game 7 between the Dodgers and Blue Jays lived up to every bit of the hype and was one of the greatest baseball games of all time.

Roberts called it “one of the greatest World Series games of all time.”

Toronto struck first in the third inning when Bo Bichette launched a three-run home run. After that moment as the Dodgers trailed 3-0, things looked extremely glim for LA.

The Dodgers trailed for most of Game 7, falling behind 4-2 in the eighth inning before Max Muncy gave them a spark with a solo home run to cut the deficit.

Down to their two final outs in the ninth, the Dodgers found new life when Miguel Rojas hit a stunning game-tying solo home run, the first in MLB history to tie a World Series Game 7 in the ninth inning or later.

But the danger wasn’t over.

In the bottom half, the Blue Jays loaded the bases with one out, forcing manager Dave Roberts to make a gutsy move by calling on Game 6 starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who had thrown 96 pitches just the night before.

The gamble paid off as Yamamoto escaped the jam and kept the Dodgers alive.

The drama carried into the 11th, where Will Smith delivered the biggest swing of his career, a two-out solo home run off Shane Bieber to give Los Angeles a 5-4 lead and, ultimately, their second straight World Series title.

This game had so many ups, downs, twists and turns. It was truly a game for the ages.

Dave Roberts Legacy

The win made the Dodgers the first team in 25 years to repeat as World Series champions, a testament to the resilience Dave Roberts praised afterward.

But none of this would have been possible without the Dodgers fearless leader.

Roberts now has a 944-575 record in 10 seasons with the Dodgers.

He has made it to the playoffs every year he has been the manager, and he is now a 3 TIME WORLD SERIES CHAMP.

“You’ve got to give it to Doc Roberts,” A-Rod said. “Now, he’s a three-time World Champion, and it now cements him as a Hall of Fame manager.” “Put him in Cooperstown,” Rodriguez added on the FOX Sports postgame show.

“If I’m the Dodgers ownership, I would give Dave Roberts a very long-term deal,” David Ortiz said. “He knows that ball club better than anybody that I’ve ever seen. He moves his players in a type of way that it seems like he knows the future… that’s why they’re the world champions today.”

Dave Roberts’ steady leadership, unmatched intuition, and unwavering belief in his players have solidified his legacy as one of the greatest managers in baseball history.
