Denny Hamlin and Kyle Petty Blast Ty Gibbs After JGR Clash at New Hampshire

Ty Gibbs of Joe Gibbs Racing and Denny Hamlin had a massive fight at the race at NH. Suffering, Gibbs threw Hamlin into the wall and broke it. Hamlin is still wrapped up in 12th. As Hamlin pursues the title and Gibbs does not, people are irritated by Gibbs’ actions.

Kyle Petty, a renowned race and NASCAR pundit, has cautioned that Gibbs should sharpen his performance factors behind the wheel and advised that the crew is too frightened to tell him to back off.

What Happened in New Hampshire, Denny Hamlin and Ty

During the race, Ty Gibbs tried really hard to pass Denny Hamlin for 11th place. Denny was careful because he wanted to win the championship this year. Ty, on the other hand, raced very hard and did not follow the team’s plan. When they hit each other, Ty crashed, and Denny finished 12th.

Denny asked if his boss, Joe Gibbs, who is Ty’s grandpa, was scared to talk to Ty about his driving. He said, “What is he [Ty Gibbs] doing? Are they afraid to talk to him?

That’s what I feel like. They’re just scared of him.” This suggests that there might be a problem within the team regarding how they handle Ty’s mistakes.

Kyle Petty’s Thoughts on Ty Gibbs

Kyle Petty, who knows a lot about racing, agreed with Denny. He said on a show called GoPRNLive’s Fast Talk,

“I understand that from Denny. I do understand that because what Denny’s saying is that that is Ty on such a pedestal that everybody’s afraid to tell them that the emperor has no clothes? Okay? Because that’s what you need to tell him. You need to tell him, ‘Learn to drive a race car, and then maybe you’ll win some races.”

Kyle said Ty is very talented, but does not always use his talent at the right time. He said, “Because he is a phenomenal talent. He does have that talent. He just doesn’t put it in the right places at the right time. That’s the problem.”

Kyle also said Ty needs to learn how to race better and that Denny taught him a lesson by the crash. He said, “You have to learn how to race. And Ty, I believe in a lot of ways, is still learning how to race. And Denny gave him a lesson [at Loudon]. I’m not saying it was the right lesson, but Denny taught him a lesson.”

What This Means for Joe Gibbs Racing and Ty

This fight shows a big challenge for the Joe Gibbs Racing team. They want to help Ty become better, but they also want to protect Denny, who is trying to win the championship.

Kyle Petty said, “No, this is his last year. If he’s run three years and hadn’t done any more, but especially coming off his Xfinity record. You are looking at a blue chip player that you thought was going to carry your organization forward, and he’s not taking your organization forward.”
