The fiancé of Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dillion Gabriel started an uproar online following shady comments on social media.
“Browns lost what’s new 😂” Zo Caswell captioned a TikTok video after Cleveland’s 26–8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers — a game that marked the home debut of Shedeur Sanders, who took over the starting job after Caswell’s future husband briefly tried his hand at quarterback.
“I don’t remember these captions when ya man was qb1 😒,” someone commented.
“Love you and your content but very disappointed in this caption😟 need to support this team weather he is in or not,” another user wrote.
Caswell tried to clean everything up, commenting, “For everyone complaining about the caption, I obviously am cheering for the Browns… it’s clearly a joke. If we don’t laugh, we cry.”
Zo Caswell Reportedly Says Teammates Want Gabriel to Start
But in a since deleted comment on the post, Caswell seemed to surmise that the Browns’ locker room doesn’t have faith in Sanders and instead wants Gabriel to be the starting QB.
One user commented: “That lil comment you made right there is disgusting.. the way you’re openly racist is so weird.. and you wonder why everyone cheered when lil Dillon got a lil headache and was afraid to play. Nobody in that locker room respects that lil dude”
Gabriel suffered a concussion in week 11 and since lost the job to Sanders, who head coach Kevin Stefanski said he wants to see more of in Cleveland’s final five games.

Caswell reportedly responded to the user’s comment, writing, “Actually everyone in the building wants him to play. But you wouldn’t know that bc you’ve never played in the nfl or been a couch [sic] right 😂”
The Browns started the season with veteran Joe Flacco at quarterback but traded him to the division rival Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 7. Since then, Gabriel, a third-round pick, was starting at QB. But Sanders, a fifth-round pick, has started the previous two games and will continue to hold the job, Stefanksi said.
Sanders Signals That There is No Tension in Locker Room
Two rookies competing for the starting job could cause some tension in the QB room. But Sanders said Gabriel has handled the benching with class.
“He’s a hard worker. He’s the same guy,” Sanders said. “I feel like a lot of people in this locker room, he’s the same within every situation they’re in. You understand? He spent a lot of years in college, so he got experience in a lot of different areas and a lot of different people. So, he knows how to, like, bond and mesh with different people. So, since he been back, he been good. He been good. He’s been cool throughout everything.”
Stefanski, who seemingly seems focused on teaching Sanders a lesson of humility, also confirmed that Gabriel has been in high spirits.
“Our guys are great teammates,” he said. “That’s what I appreciate about the guys on this football team. You push each other, you pull each other when you need to. So, he’ll be in that backup role, and he’ll do everything in his power to help this football team, everything in his power to help Shedeur.”
However, at least one Browns insider, Tony Rizzo, believes Stefanski will be fired at the end of the season.
