Dodgers Get Promising Update in Pursuit of Bo Bichette

The vibes are high with the Los Angeles Dodgers right now. After winning their second consecutive World Series championship, the Dodgers will be looking to three-peat in 2026. When looking at all the star talent they have on their roster, the possibility of them doing so certainly can not be ruled out.

The Dodgers have had a pretty calm offseason at this point. However, they have made a notable move, as they signed three-time All-Star relief pitcher Edwin Diaz to a three-year contract. Yet, the Dodgers should not be done yet, as they have been linked to a number of the top free agents left.

Among the star free agents who have been connected to the Dodgers this offseason are Kyle Tucker and Cody Bellinger. Yet, they have also been connected to star infielder Bo Bichette, and it is understandable when noting that he would be a major addition to their group if signed.

Now, a new Bichette prediction has been made that should make Dodgers fans feel some hope about their chances of landing the 27-year-old star.

Dodgers Predicted to Sign Star Free Agent Bo Bichette

In a recent article for Bleacher Report, Tim Kelly predicted where each of the top free agents left will sign. While Kelly initially picked the Toronto Blue Jays as his landing spot for Bichette, he is now predicting that the two-time All-Star will instead sign with the Dodgers.

“What a story it would be if the first game that Bichette plays after Toronto’s crushing Game 7 loss in the World Series is to the team that they lost to, the Dodgers. Los Angeles could make out like bandits giving Bichette the same deal that Alex Bregman signed with the Red Sox last year, and having him be their starting second baseman while knowing he has shortstop in his bag of tools,” Kelly wrote.

It would certainly be a tough blow for Blue Jays fans if Bichette signed with the Dodgers. Yet, with Los Angeles needing another impactful middle infielder, the possibility of Bichette landing with the Dodgers should not be ruled out.

The Dodgers have made it clear over the years that they are not afraid to do some serious spending. It has clearly benefited them, as they have won three World Series championships since 2020. Thus, them pulling off another big move by landing a top star like Bichette would make sense.

If the Dodgers signed Bichette, they would add another impactful hitter to their lineup. Bichette’s 2025 stats effectively show this, as he had 18 home runs, 94 RBIs, and a .311 batting average in 139 games.

Dodgers Have a Ton of Competition in Bichette Sweepstakes

The Dodgers are not the only team that has been linked to Bichette this offseason, though. With Bichette being a star right in his prime, it is no secret that he is generating a ton of interest. In addition to Los Angeles and Toronto, other teams like the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Chicago Cubs have been linked to Bichette this winter.

With this, there is no question that the Dodgers have plenty of competition for Bichette. It will be intriguing to see if they end up being the lucky club that lands him from here.
