Dodgers’ Teoscar Hernandez Leaves Haunted Hotel in Milwaukee Over Wife’s Ghost Fears

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez revealed that he and his wife decided to leave the team hotel in Milwaukee ahead of Game 2 of the National League Championship Series.

As Fox News reported, they decided to leave not because they were uncomfortable or did not like their hotel, but because of ghosts.

The couple had been staying at the historic Pfister Hotel, a well-known stop for visiting MLB teams that’s also infamous for alleged paranormal activity.

Hernandez said his wife, Jennifer, was unsettled by stories from other Dodgers’ families about flickering lights, strange footsteps, and doors mysteriously opening on their own.

“I don’t believe in ghosts,” Hernandez told The New York Post. “I’ve stayed there before and never seen or heard anything. But my wife said she doesn’t want to stay there, so we had to find another hotel.”

The Haunted Hotel

Hernandez isn’t the first Dodger to steer clear of the Pfister.

Mookie Betts has opted to book Airbnbs instead of staying at the team hotel, citing the same supernatural rumors that have circulated for years among visiting players.

Hernandez added that some of his teammates have mentioned strange occurrences at the hotel as well:

“Some of the rooms, the lights goes off and on. And the doors, there are noises, footsteps, things like that, I don’t know.”

Despite the eerie circumstances, Hernandez didn’t let the move affect his play. The veteran outfielder launched a home run in the second inning of Game 2.

NLCS Series Outlook

The Dodgers hotel problems were the only problems that they had on their road trip to Milwaukee.

On the field, the Dodgers have been dominant and have taken a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Brewers.

Blake Snell set the tone in Game 1, delivering eight scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and allowing just one hit. He became the first Dodger to pitch eight shutout frames in the postseason since Clayton Kershaw in 2020.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto followed that up with a complete-game gem in Game 2, the Dodgers’ first postseason complete game since 2004. Yamaotoo struck out nine and surrendered just one run on four hits in a 5-1 win.

Combined, Snell and Yamamoto have posted a 0.53 ERA across the first two games of the NLCS, silencing Milwaukee’s bats and putting Los Angeles in firm control of the series.

Teoscar’s wife, Mookie Betts and the rest of the Dodgers are hoping the team can finish the series at home by winning two of the next three games at Dodger Stadium so they can, not only clinch a World Series berth, but also avoid returning to the haunted Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee for a potential Game 6.
