England and Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is keen to join Liverpool after attracting substantial interest from the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle United.
Guehi was the subject of multiple bids from Newcastle last summer but ended up staying at Selhurst Park for at least one more season.
The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the best defenders in the Premier League over the few seasons and become a key member of the England squad.
Guehi was an integral part of Gareth Southgate’s side last summer as the Three Lions reached the Euro 2024 final before losing to Spain.
Newcastle hoped to bring Guehi to St James’ Park after watching him shine in Germany but saw four bids rejected, the highest worth up to £65m.
Crystal Palace were reluctant to lose another defender after selling Joachim Anderson to London rivals Fulham for £30m earlier in the transfer window.
But Palace know it is only a matter of time before clubs begin to circle once more, with Guehi linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United last summer as well as Newcastle.

It was Chelsea who sold Guehi to Crystal Palace back in 2021 after the defender spent over a decade in the Blues’ academy.
Newcastle could revive their interest in Guehi but The Sun say he is keen to join current Premier League leaders Liverpool.
It is claimed Guehi is intent on joining a Champions League club and has made Liverpool his ‘first-choice’ option.
Liverpool centre-backs Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez have been key to helping the club open up a healthy lead at the top of the Premier League but the former will be out of contract at the end of the season.

The Sun say Liverpool are interested in signing Guehi and could use teenage star Ben Doak – currently on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough – in a deal to bring the England international to Anfield.
After confirming that Guehi would stay at Crystal Palace beyond last summer’s transfer window, Eagles boss Oliver Glasner said: ‘It was never really in doubt.
‘Congratulations to Crystal Palace, to the chairman, to the owners, that they didn’t give in.
‘Especially after the transfer of Joachim Andersen, it was very important that Marc stays.
‘Also thank you to Marc. We were always close and talking a lot. All of the rumours didn’t influence his performance, his mood, his professionalism.
‘He always told me he is not pushing to leave Crystal Palace and for me that is the most important thing.’
Crystal Palace’s struggles this season could contribute to Guehi’s desire to leave Selhurst Park. The Eagles are currently just 16th, three points above the relegation zone.
