Vitor Pereira has been sacked by Wolves after a 3-0 defeat to Fulham left the club eight points from safety in the Premier League.
Wolves have endured a disastrous start to the season and are yet to win in the Premier League after ten games.
Amassing just two points leaves Wolves at the bottom of the English top-flight, eight points behind 17th-placed Burnley.
A 3-0 defeat at Fulham on Saturday was the final straw for Pereira, who was sacked by the Wolves board on Sunday morning.
Pereira, 57, took over at Wolves in December 2024 and was bizarrely handed a new long-term contract earlier in the season despite the team’s struggles.

Wolves are yet to confirm Pereira’s replacement but former Liverpool and Manchester United managers are in the running for the job, according to the bookmakers.
Ex-Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has been installed as the early favourite to replace Pereira, with former United manager Erik ten Hag not far behind.
Rodgers left Scottish champions Celtic at the end of last month and has been tipped for a quick return to management in the Premier League.
Ten Hag, meanwhile, was sacked by Bayer Leverkusen at the start of the season after just two league games in charge.
Pereira gave a brutally honest interview after what turned out to be his final game in charge of Wolves.

‘That might be the worst performance from my team,’ he said after the defeat at Craven Cottage. ‘It was maybe the worst technically, tactically and physically.
‘We suffered. I didn’t see my team playing at the level we can play at, the level we showed in the last game.
‘I’m trying to understand it. We need to have a conversation to understand how it’s possible to play like we did in the second half of the last game and then play like this today.’
Responding to the Wolves fans chanting for him to be sacked, Pereira added: ‘I’m not proud of our work today. I don’t need anybody to judge my work, I judge my work and I judge myself.
‘I know my team can play at a better level but today it wasn’t the case. Everyone must assume responsibility.
‘I’m not worried about myself, I’m worried about my team. What we showed today, we need to talk about it. I cannot accept what we did.’
Wolves were 19th when Pereira arrived to replace Gary O’Neil and the Portuguese manager guided the club to a respectable 16th-place finish.
Pereira’s cause was not helped by the departure of several key players in the summer, with Matheus Cunha joining Manchester United and Rayan Ait-Nouri moving to Manchester City.
Wolves will have a new manager in the dugout when they return to Premier League action against Chelsea next weekend.
Unless they climb out of the relegation zone, Wolves will be relegated to the Championship for the first time since the 2017-18 season.
