Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love‘s wedding over the weekend conjured warm feelings — but that didn’t stop David Bakhtiari from taking a shot at Aaron Rodgers.
Sharing a video of Love and his wife, Ronika Stone, dancing at the wedding on June 30, Bahktiari shared his best wishes to the Loves on X (formerly Twitter).
“Love is love,” he wrote. “Congrats to the Loves.”
Then, things got spicy.
“Just happy at least one of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding,” Bakhtiari added with the eyes emoji in a veiled shot at Rodgers, who revealed he got married earlier in the offseason in what’s deemed as a secret wedding.
Bakhtiari was a fixture at left tackle for the Packers for a decade, protecting the blindside of Rodgers and Love. He earned two All-Pro nods and three Pro Bowl mentions in his career.
The jab was made in good nature as Bakhtiari is one of Rodgers’s close friends from his days in Green Bay.
However, Rodgers’ reclusiveness in recent years is a steep contrast to Love, who has maintained a close connection with his former teammates over the years.

While the Loves were married on June 30, they spent the weekend basking in the glow of their wedding before taking to social media to make the news official.
Jordan and Ronika shared a post on Instagram with a photo carousel from their wedding at a beach destination over the weekend.
The two California kids met in college despite attending different universities over 700 miles apart.
Ronika is a former All-American volleyball player at the University of Oregon and still plays professionally for the San Diego Mojo. Jordan attended Utah State and was roommates with Ronika’s high school best friend, Mo Walker, at the time.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Jordan would occasionally say hi in passing over FaceTime calls between Ronika and Walker. However, they eventually grew closer and had one-on-one conversations.
When Ronika and Jordan were both in California, where they’re both from, Jordan drove an hour to see her. They played a game of basketball and mini-golf together, which Ronika argues she won.
“I beat him in both,” Ronika told NBC Sports’ Maria Taylor in a 2024 interview.
Jordan argued otherwise, but that’s all in the past — five years to be precise.
“We linked up and literally the rest is history,” Love said.

With Rodgers’ free-agency saga officially over, the future Hall of Fame quarterback admitted this is likely his final season as he hitched onto the Pittsburgh Steelers for one last dance.
That sets up a Week 8 matchup where Rodgers will have the chance to become one of just five quarterbacks to beat every team in the NFL — the last team left being his former Packers.
Green Bay will have to go on the road to defy Rodgers in that feat.
The primetime matchup with take place on Sunday Night Football and it’s looking like a true toss-up, with the Packers deemed 1.5-point favorites by DraftKings Sportsbook.
