The Philadelphia Eagles have had quite a few talented players wear their jersey over the past decade or so. After all, that’s a big reason why they have won a pair of Super Bowls during that stretch. One player who helped them win the first of those championships was star safety Malcolm Jenkins.
After signing with the Eagles in 2014 on a three-year, $15.5 million contract, Jenkins transformed himself into one of the top safeties in the league. His crowning achievement in Philadelphia saw the team pull off a massive upset over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, and now, he’s set to earn a major honor from his former team.
Malcolm Jenkins to be Inducted Into Eagles Hall of Fame
Jenkins broke into the league with the New Orleans Saints as the No. 14 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. While the Saints won the Super Bowl that year, Jenkins struggled at his native cornerback position, prompting the Saints to move him to safety the next season. That unlocked everything for Jenkins, as he promptly earned a spot on the All-Pro Second Team in 2010.
Over the next three seasons, Jenkins didn’t manage to reach the heights he hit in his sophomore season, and New Orleans eventually allowed him to walk in free agency. Jenkins ended up taking his game to another level, as he would go on to earn all three of his Pro Bowl selections during his six-year stint with Philadelphia.
Jenkins would return to the Saints for the final two years of his career, but by then, his legacy with the Eagles was already set in stone. Now, Philadelphia is further solidifying Jenkins’ standing in their franchise’s storied history, as he is set to be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame during the 2025 campaign.
“Super Bowl LII Champ and Three-time Pro Bowler Malcolm Jenkins is also being inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame along with Bucko Kilroy,” Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer shared in a post on X.

Winning a Super Bowl helped make Jenkins a franchise legend, and another wave of Eagles players joined that club last season when Philadelphia took down the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. As they enter the 2025 campaign, it’s clear that the Eagles only have one goal, and that’s to repeat as champions.
Philly’s roster is still in tip-top shape, and considering how dominant they looked in the postseason last year, they are going to be a tough team to take down this upcoming season. Honoring Jenkins will surely be a highlight, and while the team will give him the respect he rightfully deserves with his induction, it certainly won’t distract them from their primary goal when all is said and done.
