The Los Angeles Dodgers have found their way back to the World Series for the second straight year, and they have quite a bit of momentum on their side, as they are fresh off ruthlessly sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS. While the Dodgers wait to find out whether they will be facing off against the Toronto Blue Jays or Seattle Mariners, star first baseman Freddie Freeman and his wife, Cheslea, shared an exciting message on social media.
After another standout campaign, Freeman is playing for a shot to earn the third World Series championship of his career. Even though Los Angeles won last season, excitement is as high as ever among the team’s fanbase heading into this series, which led the Freemans to offer a giveaway to Dodgers fans on social media.

A second-round pick in the 2007 MLB Draft, Freeman initially broke into the majors with the Atlanta Braves back in 2010, before establishing himself as the team’s starting first baseman. Ever since then, he’s been one of the most consistent players in the league, and he is still going strong in his 16th year in the league.
Freeman spent the first 12 years of his career with the Braves, earning five All-Star selections, three Silver Slugger Awards, and a Gold Glove in 2018. He also won the National League MVP Award in the shortened 2020 season, before helping Atlanta win the 2021 World Series in six games over the Houston Astros.
After that victory, Freeman signed with the Dodgers in free agency, which is where he has spent the past four seasons. This will be Freeman’s third World Series appearance in the past five years, so he and his wife decided they wanted to give back to their fans. Ahead of the series getting underway, Freeman’s wife, Chelsea, shared a post on social media announcing that she and Freddie would be giving away four World Series tickets to a lucky fan.
“Our family is so thankful for all the love this season – and now we want you to experience the World Series magic too! 🫶🏻,” Chelsea said as part of her post on Instagram.

The Dodgers have become a powerhouse in the majors over the past few years, due in large part to their ability to attract the top players in baseball to come and play for them. Freeman was a part of their recent free agent haul, and he’s been everything the team was hoping he’d become. Now, L.A. has a chance to solidify itself as a modern dynasty by winning its third title in the past six years.
There’s no doubt that the Dodgers’ toughest challenge has yet to come, as both the Blue Jays and Mariners have already proven that they will battle to the death if needed in order to come out on top. With stars like Freeman leading the way, though, Los Angeles is understandably confident heading into this series. While the time is not known yet, Game 1 of the 2025 World Series will be played on Friday, Oct. 24.
