Wilfried Singo and Donnarumma, 25, went for the ball inside PSG’s area and the defender accidentally stepped on his opponent’s face – studs first – with his right foot.

The Italy international was left bleeding with an awful wound on his face.

And PSG boss Enrique had no other option but to take him off the pitch and replace him with back-up keeper Matvei Safonov after just 22 minutes.

Singo, 23, was already on a yellow after a rough challenge on Desire Doue.

But shockingly enough, the referee opted against booking the Ivory Coast international again.

That is despite the fact Donnarumma was left with a devastating wound just a few inches away from his right eye, which could have led to something far worse.

Fans were left devastated and stormed social media claiming the Italian could have been blinded by Singo’s reckless challenge.
