With the defeat coming hot off the heels of Saturday’s drubbing by Arsenal, West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is facing the sack.
Club chiefs have drawn up a three-man shortlist of potential successors for the Spaniard, including Potter.
While working as a pundit for Amazon Prime Video, Potter was asked by presenter Dan Walker if he’s “looking at things”.
He said: “Yeah, of course. As I’ve said before, you’re open to everything.
“But at the same time I’m really enjoying this [punditry] as well.
“Because it gives you another perspective, you get to see it from your eyes, how the media thinks about the game. That’s always interesting.
“It’s a different lens, that can only make you better once you understand that as well, so I’ve enjoyed that.”
Potter has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in April 2023.

He recently turned down Leicester, who appointed Ruud van Nistelrooy instead, and is thought to be interested in a potential vacancy at West Ham.
Also on the Hammers’ radar is former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic.
The German, 42, led Dortmund to last season’s Champions League final, but it is unclear whether he’d be interested in joining West Ham.
Sergio Conceicao is the other name on West Ham’s list, having won three league titles in seven seasons with Porto prior to leaving at the end of last season.
