Hailee Steinfeld News Emerges After Bills-Steelers

The Buffalo Bills got their season back on track with a dominant 26-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13.

It was a solid bounce-back win following Buffalo’s disappointing 23-19 defeat to the Houston Texans the week prior — a game in which quarterback Josh Allen was sacked eight times and threw two interceptions.

But against the Steelers, the Bills depended less on Allen to win the game for them.

They fed running back James Cook a season-high 32 times, and he rushed for 144 yards while adding 33 yards on 3 receptions. It marked Cook’s seventh 100-yard game of the season.

Allen’s 23 pass attempts were also his third-fewest of the season. Buffalo won the other two games in which Allen had fewer pass attempts as well.

Hailee Steinfeld Announces Big Personal News

While the win was reason to celebrate for the Bills and Allen, his wife, pop star Hailee Steinfeld announced some noteworthy personal news that also caught the attention of many.

In her most recent issue of hew newsletter Beau Society, Steinfeld announced that she had deleted social media before the Bills-Steelers game on Sunday.

“Even if just for the weekend, I’m currently a week into an Instagram detox,” Steinfeld wrote. “Every time I do this, I wonder why I don’t do it more often.”

This isn’t the first time the pop star/actress, who has nearly 21 million followers on Instagram, has done a social media detox, as she’s done so several times before when her and Allen were just dating.

The timing of Steinfeld’s message though came at a timely moment for her.

Buffalo is sitting at 8-4 and on the postseason bubble, occupying the final playoff spot in the AFC. The team’s final five games are crucial to its playoff hopes with key matchups against the Cincinnati Bengals, the AFC East-leading New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Jets.

With three more Bills homes games left before the playoffs start, and the increased pressure on Allen—win or lose—Steinfeld seemingly made the smart decision to stay away from the increased volatility of social media.

Allen Having a Record-Breaking Season

At first glance, Allen’s 2025 season may not seem all that impressive.

He currently ranks fourth in completion percentage (69.4), seventh in touchdowns (19), ninth in passing yards (2,832), and 10th in passer rating (99.8).

But beyond his passing numbers, Allen leads all QBs in rushing yards (409) and rushing touchdowns (11) — and he’s scored the second-most rushing TDs in the league behind Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (15).

Allen’s legs are hard to stop, and they’ve propelled him into the NFL record books this year. Against the Steelers, Allen threw and ran for a touchdown, and he passed former Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in NFL history (76).

He also extended his NFL record for most games with at least one passing and rushing touchdown (49). And if that weren’t enough, Allen also tied some NFL greats as well.

He’s now got six straight seasons with at least offensive touchdowns or more, breaking a tie with former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning, Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre, and current Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers for the second-longest streak in NFL history.
