When the fixture computer churned out Manchester United vs Arsenal for the opening weekend of the season there was excitement from fans of both clubs and neutrals alike.

It may not be the title-deciding clash that it was in the past, but the Red Devils taking on the Gunners remains one of the Premier League’s biggest contests.

It has been a big summer for Ruben Amorim’s side, with the Portuguese boasting an entirely new front line this season.

The signings of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko have been widely praised and they will hope to hit the ground running on Sunday.

Arsenal have been busy in the transfer market as well, with Viktor Gyokeres brought in to add goals, while Martin Zubimendi is an impressive new addition in midfield.

This fixture ended 1-1 in March but Manchester United have struggled against Arsenal of late with four defeats and that one draw in their last five Premier League meetings.

However, they did have success against the Gunners in the FA Cup last season, knocking then out on penalties after another 1-1 draw.
