Didi Hamann has suggested Arne Slot could drop one of his summer signings after Liverpool’s win over Premier League title rivals Arsenal.
Liverpool clinched a huge victory over title contenders Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai’s brilliant free-kick.
A defensive Arsenal team looked set to take a point back to north London before Szoboszlai fired home a stunning strike late on.
The win sent Liverpool to the top of the Premier League and means the defending champions are the only team in the English top-flight still boasting a perfect record.
Hamann was pleased his former club delivered an early blow to title rivals Arsenal but still saw some concerning signs in the win, particularly in the performance of Milos Kerkez.

Kerkez was one of the best left-backs in the Premier League last season but has endured a slow start to his Anfield career since joining Liverpool in a deal worth £40m.
Hamann says he ‘didn’t like what he saw’ from Kerkez against Arsenal and suggested Andy Robertson could come back in the team if the Serbian does not lift his game.

Robertson was expected to leave Liverpool following Kerkez’s arrival and his own drop-off last season but the Scotland international stayed put and even came on in the Premier League opener against Bournemouth.
‘Andy Robertson was unlucky on a couple of occasions last season and the club brought in someone else, which is fair enough, Hamann told Adventure Gamers.
‘Kerkez started a bit edgily against Arsenal, but in the second half, he started playing better and seemed to settle down.

‘He made a couple of good tackles against Noni Madueke. We’ll have to wait and see, but Robertson is always an option.
‘Milos Kerkez isn’t the quickest. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs in the next few weeks because every time the ball was played over the top, they looked dangerous.
‘It was the same against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace. He needs to improve his defending. He’s only 21, so we’ll have to wait and see.
‘He’s certainly good going forward, but his primary job is to defend, and in the first half against Arsenal, I didn’t like what I saw in a couple of situations.’
Former Bournemouth defender Kerkez was one of ten summer signings Slot welcomed to Liverpool during the summer transfer window.
The Premier League champions finally confirmed a British record £125m deal for ex-Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak on transfer deadline day.
A dramatic deadline day also saw Liverpool sell Harvey Elliott to Aston Villa and miss out on a late deal for England defender Marc Guehi.
