Jacksonville Jaguars’ Travis Hunter Loves His Video Games (video)

Jacksonville Jaguars‘ No. 2-overall draft pick Travis Hunter can play more than just football. Specifically, he apparently likes to play video games and, more specifically, Clash of the Clans. Supercell’s most popular mobile game just announced a partnership with Hunter for a “once-in-a-lifetime chance for Clash players” to be recruited by Hunter’s clan.

(Without knowing much about the game, I’d assume his clan name has to be something related to “Hunters and Gatherers” because it’s just too easy. There might be a potential fantasy football team name for 2025 in there somewhere too.)

According to a press release, the partnership forms part of their “Summer Jam” campaign, which is “helping Clash players get their village back in shape.”

“Man, I’ve been grinding Clash of Clans for a while, so when Draft Day came around, I turned to it to pass the time,” Hunter said. “Playing helps me relax before big moments. I’m hyped to team up with Clash for the first two-way deal in Clash history, seeing who’s ready to rise up and lead their clan to success on both offense and defense—and grab those gems to get their clan Summer ready.”

Travis loves video games

The Jaguars’ Heisman Trophy winner apparently loves to play video games. It’s not clear when this video was posted, but it seems like some time last year based on the titles of his video game ratings.

And, here he is playing “CF25” (college football 2025 for old people like me) with his teammate at the University of Colorado and fellow NFL draft pick Shedeur Sanders.

Hunter wasn’t kidding when he said he turned to video games on NFL Draft night. The Big Lead talked about this back in early May.

“Hunter was in the green room with other top draft prospects before realizing of his dream of being taken by an NFL team, but the former Colorado Buffaloes standout was seen playing video games before commissioner Roger Goodell revealed that he was going to Jacksonville,” writes Matt Reed.

“The cornerback and wide receiver is known for being an outstanding dual-posiiton player on the gridiron, but Hunter also has a huge infatuation with video games, which was how he kept himself business on draft night in Green Bay.”

Apparently there are Clash of the Clan boot camps

Do most online games have bootcamps and things like that? Feel free to tell us in the comments as there are probably plenty of Jaguars’ fans that don’t know about this realm.

Regardless, as part of this “Summer Jam” they are offering bootcamps to help you get up to speed.

-July 3-13: Gold Bootcamp – Gold upgrade timers are 25% shorter, Gold production is 2x faster, and Gold Mine capacities are 2x larger than normal. Walls and temporary upgrades are not included.

-July 13-22: Elixir Bootcamp – Elixir upgrade timers are 25% shorter, Elixir production is 2x faster, and Elixir Collector capacities are 2x larger than normal. Walls and temporary upgrades are not included.
