Jadon Sancho has passed on his best wishes to Chelsea after it was confirmed that his time at Stamford Bridge had come to an end.
Chelsea bosses had the option to sign Sancho outright for £25million and had been keen for the winger to continue his stay beyond the summer, despite his mixed loan spell in west London.
But the Blues failed to agree personal terms over a permanent deal for Sancho, meaning they must pay a £5m penalty to Manchester United to get out of an obligation in their contract for the 25-year-old.
While Sancho will join up with the Red Devils again at the end of the month, the forward will be expected to find a new club for the new season having run out of chances at Old Trafford.
A report from talkSPORT earlier today claimed West Ham had registered an interest in signing Sancho, with Graham Potter on the hunt for attacking reinforcements after a dismal end the the campaign.

‘Grateful for the experience,’ Sancho told his followers on X and Instagram this evening.
‘Big love to everyone at Chelsea who made me feel at home – teammates, staff and the fans. Wishing the club all the best moving forward.

‘Truly grateful, Thank you Blues [love heart emoji, praying emoji]’
Sancho joined United with huge expectations on his shoulders on the back of a high-profile £73million move from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021.
But the Manchester City academy graduate has flattered to deceive in the famous red jersey, managing a total of just nine goals in 58 appearances in the Premier League.
Sancho has one year remaining on his current contract at the Theatre of Dreams.
The England international was among the goalscorers as Chelsea came from behind to thump Real Betis 4-1 to win this year’s Europa Conference League.
Facing the media after the victory, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca insisted he was in the dark about what the future held for Sancho.
‘I don’t know,’ Maresca told reporters when asked for an update.
‘I said that when in the last weeks you asked me about different players, I always said the same. And the reason why is because it’s the truth.
‘It’s not the moment, we have the final. Then in 24 hours, 48 hours, we’re going to start to talk about the future.
But at this moment, there is not any thought or any decision made on Jadon or any different players.’
