he NFL season is officially around the corner. With all 32 teams set to play their first preseason games this week, the preparations for the regular season are well underway. For each and every team, the goal is simple– be the last team standing at the end and hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February. The Jacksonville Jaguars, a team in the midst of a rebuild, are looking for their first playoff appearance since 2022.
And as the Jaguars go for their goal, they will make sure that they look good doing it. In the early hours of August 6, the team revealed that they will wear their Prowler throwback uniforms in four games this season, bringing back the look that the franchise sported when they first came into existence in 1995.
Jaguars’ Prowler Jersey Schedule
The franchise announced that they will sport the throwbacks in four games this season, including in their lone primetime game– a Monday Night Football game in week five against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jaguars officially revealed the throwback uniform schedule on their X account, featuring former superstar running back from era, Maurice Jones-Drew.
The throwback uniform combo features a black helmet with the old Jaguars logo, teal jerseys and white pants– the combo that the Jaguars rocked during their early years of being a perennial playoff team. In 2009, the Jaguars entered a new era by unveiling new uniforms but have sporadically worn their throwbacks in order to keep their old identity alive.
When Will the Jaguars Wear Them?
Below are the games that the Jaguars will wear their throwback uniforms:

Vs. Houston Texans – Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m.

Vs. Kansas City Chiefs – Monday, Oct. 6 at 8:15 p.m.

Vs. Indianapolis Colts – Sunday, Dec. 7 at 1 p.m.

Vs. Tennessee Titans – Sunday, Jan. 4 TBD
The team went years without wearing their throwback Prowler uniforms, but brought them back last season during their 30th anniversary campaign– wearing the uniforms against the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Jets.
