Jannik Sinner vs. Lorenzo Musetti H2H, Prediction, Odds & More

Tonight, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner will continue his quest for a second straight US Open title when he faces off with fellow Italian star Lorenzo Musetti.

Sinner has looked incredibly dominant throughout the past two weeks, dropping just one set to Dennis Shapovalov en route to tonight’s quarterfinal. Although he entered the 2025 US Open after being forced to withdraw from his Cincinnati Open final against Carlos Alcaraz with an illness, the four-time Grand Slam champion has picked up where he left off last year in Flushing Meadows.

On the flip side, after suffering early exits at the National Bank Open and the Cincinnati Open, Lorenzo Musetti seems to have found his rhythm in New York. Through his first four matches in Flushing Meadows, Musetti has dropped just one set, his first of the tournament.

With Sinner looking to move one step closer to a second US Open title, and Musetti looking to reach his first US Open semifinal, expect these two to produce fireworks.

Sinner vs. Musetti H2H

Throughout their careers, Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti have faced off twice, with Sinner holding a 2-0 record in the head-to-head.

Despite that, the two haven’t played since the ATP Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo back in 2023, where Sinner picked up a straight-set win on clay.

The two were set to play a third time later in the 2023 season in Barcelona; however, Sinner wound up withdrawing from the match, releasing a statement indicating that he was ill and unable to play.

While Sinner leads the head-to-head, and Musetti struggled in recent tournaments leading up to the US Open, the world No. 10 notably made some big changes to his serve, which could make things interesting in today’s match.

As he explained during his on-court interview after defeating Jaume Munar:

“it was not working so much. So we needed a little bit adjust and simplify a little bit the motion and I think especially today I served really well. Even in the few situation that I needed the first serve, I was always there, and I think there’s still room to improve but really really happy about this adjustment we made.”

Whether Musetti’s serve can give the best statistical returner on tour problems, only time will tell.
