Well, that wasn’t as good as last week.
New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields was pulled from the New York Giants’ preseason game after two drives on Saturday, August 16.
Beat reporter Nick Faria of Jets X-Factor described his two drives as “a disaster.”
First quarter in the books and the #Giants lead 7-3.
Like the response from the #Jets after a disaster two drives. This is who they are. If they can run the ball, they’ll be fun to watch.

Fields finished the day 1-for-5 for four passing yards. He also contributed a rushing attempt for five yards.
#Jets QB Justin Fields’ day is DONE in this #Giants game & perhaps for the preseason entirely.
🏈 1-for-5
🏈 4 passing yards
🏈 One rushing attempt for 5 rushing yardsHe did lead the team to a field goal drive, so there is that.

Social Media Overreacts to Fields’ Poor Showing Versus the Giants
ESPN’s Rich Cimini reacted to the performance on social media by saying, ” Let’s be positive, and say the Jets passing attack is a work in progress.”

“That Justin Fields drive was not as good as the one last week,” Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic bluntly said.

Last week against the Green Bay Packers, Fields showed plenty of promise.
He finished with a 75% completion percentage (3-of-4), 42 passing yards, and he contributed two carries for 14 yards. Fields led the Jets offense on a 10-play 79-yard drive capped off by his 13-yard rushing touchdown.
It couldn’t have gone much better. Fields was on top of the world, receiving praise. Fast forward a week, and it couldn’t have gone much worse. Fields is now catching the heat of social media after a lackluster performance.
Just a brief glimpse at the roller coaster ride of playing quarterback in New York.
This is a developing story and we’ll provide new details as they become available.
