Justin Fields’ toe injury at New York Jets training camp last week created a lot of chatter on social media.
The former Ohio State product made his stance clear on “Up & Adams”; he is done talking about it.
“The toe is all good. The toe is ready to go. That’s a good slogan. The toe is ready to go. We’re done [talking about the toe],” Fields said during a conversation with media personality Kay Adams.
“The entire New York media like scrum right here. Is that what we want to say? I’ll say it, we are done with the toe. We are moving on to the next chapter,” Adams said.
“Exactly,” Fields responded.
“The toe is ready to go…!!!”

Fields Is Helping People Stop Talking About It With His Work on the Field
The former Ohio State product attempting to get the New York media and social media to stop talking about something is a bold strategy.
However, he is doing his best efforts, not with his mouth, but rather with his work on the grass.
Fields was captured by the 1 Jets Drive cameras on Tuesday, July 29, showing no signs that he is dealing with an injury.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn Provides Fields Injury Update
Head coach Aaron Glenn was asked on Tuesday, July 29, if Fields is fully back from his injury.
“I can’t say that. He still has this huge deal on his toe, ya know? So guys won’t step on it,” Glenn said.
However, Fields is getting closer and closer to being fully back. In each subsequent practice since the injury, Fields has done more and more.
Individual drills, 7-on-7, and most recently, team drills 11-on-11.
Fields Explains What He Is Wearing Because of Toe Injury
“Yeah, I got this like this little plastic cover. My man Zuff [David Zuffelato, the Jets’ head athletic trainer] came with it. It’s almost like a steel toe, but it’s a plastic toe. Yeah, we kind of came up with that idea just to try and protect it over these next couple of weeks,” Fields explained.
ESPN’s Rich Cimini confirmed that Fields “will practice for a couple of weeks with a plastic shield on the outside of his cleats to protect his injured toe.”
Jets Dodged a Bullet With Fields Injury
“We get our feet stepped on all the time in practice, so it just felt normal when I first got stepped on. I tried walking it off, and it felt weird, like something was almost stuck in my toe. So I didn’t really know what to think. I just knew something was wrong,” Fields explained to the media.
Fields admitted that he was “very relieved” when the tests came back negative and revealed a much less serious diagnosis.
A starting quarterback getting carted off the field in practice delivers some dark thoughts for Jets fans considering their troubled history.
“Luckily, the [MRI and X-ray] just said the toe was dislocated. God was definitely looking out that day. I’m glad to be back on the field working,” Fields said.
Fiels explained that his phone “blew up” after he was injured, with messages from friends and family checking if he was okay.
