Davis Seemed to Have the Inside Track to Making the Roster
The former Kentucky product entered the league as the No. 19 overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft.
Davis, 26, spent the first three and a half seasons of his career with the Washington Commanders.
He bounced around the NFC North with stops in Green Bay and Minnesota at the end of the 2024 season. On December 31, 2024, the Jets claimed Davis off waivers, and he had spent the last eight months with the team.
During his career, Davis has appeared in 54 games and has started 36 games. With those opportunities, he has collected eight sacks, 287 total tackles, 11 quarterback hits, six pass deflections, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and 22 tackles for loss.
In Rosenblatt’s 53-man roster prediction on Saturday, August 23, he had Davis making the cut.
“The first three are safe, and Davis flashed in the preseason and will probably stick,” Rosenblatt said.
This is a developing story and we’ll provide new details as they become available.
