Jobe Bellingham will not push for a loan move to Manchester United in the January transfer window, according to reports.
The 20-year-old played a key role in helping Sunderland gain promotion to the Premier League last term and was crowned the Championship’s Young Player of the Season.
Bellingham opted to leave Sunderland in order to join Dortmund at the start of the summer for an initial €32 million (£26.9m), plus a further €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons.
However, the midfielder has struggled to make an impact in Germany, starting just four games in all competitions so far this campaign.
According to The Mirror, United have been considering a loan move for Bellingham in the January transfer window.

Speaking last week, Harry Kane defended Bellingham after his mistake in Dortmund’s 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.
‘He’s a good player with a lot of potential,’ Kane said.
‘I’m sure he wants to play more right now but that’s part of learning at this level. He has a great future ahead of him, he just needs to keep working.’
Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, was forced to remind Bellingham’s family that they are not allowed near the team’s dressing room during games.
‘The active area at our club remains reserved for players, coaches and officials, not families and advisors,’ Kehl said.
‘This will not happen again. We have made this clear to all involved.’
