Speaking to talkSPORT, former Chelsea midfielder Mikel was asked if any members of Enzo Maresca’s squad would get into PSG’s starting XI, replying: ‘That’s a tough one…
‘Probably just Moises Caicedo I think might just get in there. But you need to find a way to fit Caicedo and Vitinha.

‘You can’t take Vitinha out of that team because for me, he’s been absolutely brilliant.
‘He [Fabian Ruiz] has been on fire, he’s scoring goals. Maybe Joao Neves, just maybe.’
Caicedo was voted Chelsea’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season for 2024/25, key to the team’s Conference League triumph and qualification for the Champions League.

The defensive midfielder has featured four times at the Club World Cup but his availability for the final was in doubt after suffering an ankle injury in the semi-final win against Fluminense.
However, Marescahas confirmed that the Ecuadorian is back in training and reports claim he will be fit enough to start the final, in what is a huge boost for the Blues.
And while they remain underdogs, Mikel is sure his former side can cause a major upset tonight, adding: ‘If any team can beat this PSG side it’s Chelsea.
‘The way we’re playing, the team that we’ve got. We’ve got a very, very good young team, they can compete.
‘I think one thing that they [PSG] actually use, in terms of the way they play against teams, is that they’re very athletic. They have pace, power, and that’s something we have as well.’
