The past few months have been a true whirlwind for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
After winning the AP’s Most Valuable Player award, Buffalo rewarded him with a new six-year, $330 million contract with a record-breaking $250 million guaranteed. As for his personal life, he’s officially a married man after tying the knot with Hailee Steinfeld in a gorgeous wedding ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
Speaking to NFL Network‘s Tom Pelissero and Michael Robinson on Sunday, July 27, Allen said he’s “feeling great” following the first week of training camp at St. John Fisher University.
“This is my favorite time of year. Getting back into the swing of things with the guys, hanging out in the dorm rooms, playing card games, eating lunch and dinner together, there’s really nothing like it.”
“This is really a big part of the reason I play the game, is the camaraderie and relationships that you build here.”
As for HBO’s “Hard Knocks” cameras following the team’s every move, “You can put it into two ways,” Allen answered. “You can let it affect you or act like they’re not there, be yourself, and have it not affect you. That’s what I’m trying to do.”
Overall, Allen is excited for outsiders to get a closer look at the Bills organization. “Again, we haven’t won the Super Bowl, but we’ve been a pretty good team here over the last six or seven years. It’s no mistake that the culture here is a little bit different… this is a very tight unit.”

With so much success, Pelissero asked what a “12-year-old Josh Allen” would think of what he’s accomplished so far. “Pretty cool,” the 29-year-old quarterback answered. “I got to marry the woman of my dreams, my best friend.
“I get to play football for a living, that’s my favorite thing to do. In the offseason, I get to hang out with my family and golf a little bit. So yeah, it’s no too bad.”
Allen gushed over Steinfeld’s influence during organized team activities earlier this summer.
“She makes everything easier, so I don’t really focus on the other stuff,” Allen said. “That was the most important decision I’ll make in my life, and I made the right one.”
Will Hailee Steinfeld Be Featured on ‘Hard Knocks’?

While Steinfeld and Allen’s wedding was an offseason highlight, it seems unlikely that Steinfeld will be featured on “Hard Knocks.”
Allen and the “Sinners” star started sharing more details about their relationship after announcing their engagement last year; however, allowing a camera crew into their home seems like a stretch for the private couple. Steinfeld doesn’t even like being on the jumbotron during Bills games.
While Allen will mention his wife and their nuptials on the show, numerous Bills coaches and teammates attended their star-studded wedding in May, the series will be focused around the team preparing for their final season at Highmark Stadium and trying to win the Lombardi Trophy.
