The Buffalo Bills‘ Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens was expected to be an exciting matchup. However, the Sunday Night Football showdown turned out to be a historic thriller.
With Buffalo down 15 points with under four minutes to go, Bills quarterback Josh Allen went off in the fourth quarter. He registered 251 passing yards, the most in any quarter in his career, per ESPN Research. After connecting with Keon Coleman for a 10-yard touchdown, Allen trimmed their deficit to 40-32.
Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver forced Ravens’ running back Derrick Henry to fumble, a turnover that led to Allen scoring a 1-yard rushing touchdown. The league’s MVP two-point attempt failed, and the Ravens were up 40-38 with less than two minutes in regulation.
After the Bills’ defense forced a three-and-out, Allen marched his offense 66 yards down the field to set up kicker Matt Prater, who arrived in Buffalo on a red-eye flight on Thursday, to drill the game-winning field goal. The Bills won 41-40.
Throughout the nail-biter of the matchup, fans and analysts wondered if Allen’s wife, Hailee Steinfeld, was in attendance. While Steinfeld attended her best friend Greer Gustavson‘s wedding the day before, she made it to Highmark Stadium for the Week 1 matchup.

Steinfeld, 28, has quietly attended nearly every Bills game, home and away, since the famous couple first started dating in 2023. Video emerged of the “Sinners” star in Allen’s suite with the quarterback’s parents, LaVonne and Joel Allen.
Based on the video, it appears Steinfeld’s parents, Cheri and Pete Steinfeld, also flew in from California for the final season opener at Highmark Stadium.
The Oscar-nominated actress teased her outfit for the Ravens-Bills game in the most recent issue of her newsletter, Beau Society.
Steinfeld wrote, “On game days, I usually keep it to jeans, a t-shirt, and a hat. That’s my go-to formula; however, I have a lot of fun leaning into my vintage collection (which has turned into a real treasure trove in our basement), finding special pieces to pull out for the pure celebration that is a Sunday at Highmark Stadium.”

During an appearance on Wave Original’s “Fitz & Whit” podcast with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andrew Whitworth on September 3, Allen gushed over being married to Steinfeld. The couple tied the knot in Santa Barbara on May 31.
“It’s the best,” Allen said. “Honestly. I truly, I enjoy it, I love it. I think there’s a lot of freedom in it. And you know what? We’re always going to be in the honeymoon phase. How about that?…
“Going to Paris or Italy for fashion weeks, nobody over there knows who I am and we walk into a hotel and people are lined up trying to get photos, autographs and pictures and yeah, it’s pretty crazy. She’s a freaking rockstar. I love her and I don’t know how she does it, but she does it.”
Steinfeld already has her next film lined up, starring opposite Miles Teller in a romantic sports comedy, “Winter Games.”
