Kaulig‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Racing driver Justin Haley is going back to the team that first believed in him and gave him a break. The 26-year-old will rejoin the team as a driver in its newly launched NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program in 2026, following a major long-term partnership with Ram Trucks.

Besides Haley, 21-year-old Daniel Dye will also be a driver for Kaulig in the Ram 1500 lineup as the team is starting an ambitious ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌new chapter.

This move is like a return to the roots for Haley, who was a driver for Kaulig in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2020 to ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌2024.

“It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to race with Kaulig Racing again,” said Haley. “Matt Kaulig believed in me from a very early point in my career, and we’ve shared a lot of success together. It’s a blessing to be back home with Kaulig and help the team forge their way on this new journey in the Truck Series with Ram. ”

“I’m excited to be around people who have believed in me from the start, and that will give me all the tools and resources that we need to win races and compete for championships. This is an opportunity I’m very proud to be a part of; our goal is to build a solid foundation early on and use that to get Matt Kaulig and Kaulig Racing their first NASCAR Championship.”

A Homecoming for Justin Haley

Haley currently drives the No. 7 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series, but his career roots trace deep through Kaulig’s organization.

He earned his first Cup Series win in 2019 at Daytona International Speedway in the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet and has four Xfinity Series wins. He previously competed in the Craftsman Truck Series from 2017–18, winning three races and advancing to the Championship 4 in 2018.

He also won the 2016 ARCA Menards Series East Championship, highlighting a strong record across NASCAR’s ladder. In addition, he secured the 2016 ARCA Menards Series East Championship, an excellent record that sets him up well for the NASCAR ladder.

Now, Haley is reuniting with Kaulig as the team pivots from Xfinity to the Truck Series, a transition fueled by its new partnership with Ram Trucks.

Kaulig Racing’s Bold Expansion with Ram Trucks

Kaulig Racing plans to field up to five full-time Ram 1500 trucks in 2026, with Haley, Daniel Dye, and Brendan Queen already confirmed. The team will debut at Daytona International Speedway in February.

“Getting to drive for Kaulig Racing in the Truck Series while representing Ram next year is truly special for me,” said Daniel Dye. “Some of my earliest memories are going to and from school and baseball practice in my dad’s Ram pickup, and when it came time for me to get my driver’s license, my first vehicle was a Ram 1500. It’s safe to say Ram has always been a part of my life, so I’m proud to be able to represent them.”

Team owner Matt Kaulig expressed equal excitement about the team’s future.

“We’re thrilled to announce these two talented young drivers in the Kaulig Ram 1500 trucks,” he said. “Justin is an important part of our past, and I’m thrilled that he is returning to be a part of our very bright future. Daniel grew up in the Ram family, so it is super cool that he gets to represent Ram in their return to NASCAR. Both drivers have great stories to tell that align and represent what we are building here at Kaulig Racing.”

Behind the scenes, Kaulig Racing will continue to operate out of Welcome, North Carolina, as preparations ramp up for its Truck Series debut. With Haley’s experience, Dye’s passion, and Ram’s horsepower, Kaulig Racing is setting the stage for what could be one of NASCAR’s biggest storylines in 2026.
