The wedding that happens between Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Taylor Swift is going to be nothing short of epic. It’s really impossible to think that this won’t go down as one of the most celebrated weddings of all time, right next to famous weddings such as Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier; Lady di and Prince Charles; and Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer.
Swift could actually perform at her own wedding, since she’ll be the biggest star in the room, but why do that? Chance are, Kelce and Swift will get some live entertainment for their wedding that involves some of their favorite musicians. So, who might perform at the upcoming ceremony between Swift and Kelce?
One classic rock band really wants the gig, and they’re making their wishes known. Now, there’s no saying that Kelce and Swift will take them up on their offer, but they would like nothing more than to perform on that important day with Kelce and Swift say “I do.”
Classic Rock Band Wants to Perform at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Wedding
Many artists and bands would likely like nothing more than to play their hits at Kelce and Swift’s big day, but one band is going public about it. They really want the gig, and they’re not being shy.
On Wednesday, September 3, classic rock band Foreigner took to X to send an open letter to Kelce and Swift, asking them to have them as their band on that big day.
“Dear Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, we know what love is,” they stated. “We spent 40 years figuring it out, and now you guys have, too. Please accept this as our formal offer to be your wedding band. Best wishes, Foreigner.”
“I Want To Know What Love Is” marks Foreigner’s lead single from the group’s 1984 album “Provocateur,” And it’s their only No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was No. 1 for two weeks in December of 1984. Outside of the Billboard 100, though, Foreigner, who has been touring as of late, has notched plenty of hits in the rock world, and many of those songs are the kind of love songs that would fit a wedding ceremony and reception.
So, the gents of Foreigner want to get in on the big Swift and Kelce wedding. Time will tell if the two take them up on that offer, but this reporter would be surprised to see it.
Travis Kelce Talks About Engagement
One week after taking to social media to announce their engagement, Kelce took listeners inside his proposal and the work that went into it during an episode of his “New Heights” podcast with brother Jason.
“You got to know your gal,” he said when asked for advice on how to do the perfect proposal. “You can’t let how somebody else does it make you feel like you need to do it that way. I would just say, know your partner, know who you’re doing it for, and do it for the right reasons. Everything else will be beautiful.”
Kelce’s proposal to Swift saw simple but beautiful. Now, we have a Kansas City Chiefs fan for life.
