Liverpool will do ‘everything in their power’ to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo in addition to Alexander Isak this summer.
The Premier League champions made their first move to sign the Sweden international from Newcastle United this week and are prepared to smash the British transfer record again to bring him to Anfield.
Liverpool have already signed Florian Wirtz for a record £116million from Bayer Leverkusen and their huge spending is showing no signs of slowing with the club set to reach out to Rodrygo to discuss a move in the coming days.
The arrival of Xabi Alosno at Real Madrid has done little to ease Rodrygo’s concerns over his future in the Spanish capital, starting just one of their six Club World Cup matches in the United States.
Arsenal are also interested in signing the 24-year-old, having initially reached out to his representatives in May. While the Gunners are on the brink of signing another winger in Noni Madueke from Chelsea,he is still a target for the club.

Liverpool however have entered the fray and have made Rodrygo their first choice target to star on the left of their attack.
According to the publication, the Reds will send an emissary to Madrid in the coming days to open talks with Real officials and Rodrygo’s representatives.

Liverpool are prepared to make a substantial bid for the winger, with Real hoping to collect €100m (£86m) from his sale.
A move to bring him to Merseyside could depend on the future of Luis Diaz.
Bayern Munich saw an offer of £58.5m for the Colombia international rejected on Tuesday, with Liverpool adamant he is not for sale. Bayern are convinced Diaz is keen to join them with another offer expected to arrive.

Barcelona are also interested in signing Diaz after their move for Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams fell through.
His departure would open the door for Liverpool to bring in Rodrygo to form a new-look attack alongside Mohamed Salah – and possibly Isak.
Real Madrid meanwhile are interested in signing Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate, who has just 12 months left on his current contract.
Reports in Spain have claimed this week the France international is set on joining Real whether it is next summer on a free transfer or this summer.
The current window is Liverpool’s last chance to cash in on Konate and want £43m – otherwise they are prepared to hold onto him for one last season.
In any case, deals for Rodrygo and Konate will be entirely separate.
