Having checked into his hotel in the Netherlands, Bunting was struck by a familiar face.
The Merseyside-born thrower is a big Liverpool fan.
So when one of the stars of Istanbul walked past, he was always going to notice.
Having taken a picture with his hero, Bunting posted it on Instagram alongside a gushing message.
The Prem favourite wrote: “All the way to Rotterdam and this Liverpool legend Jerzy Dudek staying at the same hotel.
“Not very often I’m star struck.”
Dudek, now 52, played for Feyenoord for five years before joining Liverpool in 2001.
The Pole has been back in Rotterdam reuniting with former team-mates this week.

Having won an Eredivisie title in the Netherlands, Dudek moved to England for a trophy-laden spell at Liverpool.
Dudek won the League Cup and FA Cup with the Reds, while also playing an integral role in their iconic 2005 Champions League triumph.
Rafa Benitez‘s side famously came back from 3-0 down against AC Milan, with Dudek memorably saving Andriy Shevchenko’s penalty during the subsequent shootout.
Bunting, meanwhile, is aiming to keep his Premier League Darts hopes alive in Rotterdam this evening.
The Liverpool fan went eight weeks without a win to start the competition, before dramatically ending his drought by winning night nine in Berlin.
Last week he was beaten 6-1 by Luke Humphries in the quarter-finals, while he will begin his campaign tonight by battling home favourite Michael van Gerwen.
