Liverpool star Ibrahima Konate has been filmed playing Premier League title race mind games with Arsenal’s William Saliba on social media.
The two men are international teammates for France – but at club level – they are very much rivals both fighting for this season’s top-flight trophy.
In a video posted on the French national team’s X page, Konate and Saliba are seen signing autographs for fans at their Clairefontaine training base.
While signing a picture of him kissing last season’s Premier League trophy, Konate turned to Arsenal’s Saliba and said: ‘Hey Wilo, it’s yours this year.’
Saliba then replied: ‘No, it’s Liverpool again, got to put the pressure on them.’

Liverpool were crowned champions of England last season with Arsenal finishing as Premier League runners-up for the third season in a row.
The two sides are once again battling it out for this year’s title with Arsenal currently one point ahead of Liverpool heading into the international break.
Arsenal cut to odds-on for Premier League title

Arsenal have seen their odds to win the 2025-26 Premier League title cut with William Hill following the last round of games in the top-flight, with every team having now played seven matches.
‘After their 2-0 win over West Ham, Arsenal have been cut to odds-on to win their first Premier League title in 21 seasons, which is as short a price as they have been for many years,’ William Hill spokesman Lee Phelps said.
Who will win the Premier League title in 2025-26?
- Arsenal – 10/11
- Liverpool – 11/4
- Man City – 4/1
- Chelsea – 25/1
- Tottenham – 40/1
‘Despite a fast start, Liverpool have lost their last three games and are now out to 11/4 to retain the title following their dramatic late defeat at Stamford Bridge.
‘Man City are three points off the top of the league, but they’ve shortened into 4/1 and if Erling Haaland can keep his form going, they have to have a chance in this year’s title race.’
