Premier League champions Liverpool face FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in the Community Shield today as the 2025-26 season gets underway.
The Reds clinched the top-flight title in Arne Slot’s debut campaign last term and are aiming to land their second trophy under the Dutchman.
Palace, meanwhile, won the FA Cup for the first time in their history in May and are making their maiden appearance in the Community Shield.
First played in 1908, the Community Shield is the annual traditional curtain-raiser to the top-flight season as the Premier League winners face the FA Cup champions in a one-off match at Wembley.
