Luke Littler, 17, poised to become new face of his beloved sports team having already launched new shirt

LUKE Littler is set to become the face of his beloved Warrington Wolves.

The 17-year-old phenom has renewed his season ticket at his favourite rugby league side – splashing out £260 for a renewed membership on the South Stand terrace.

After picking up £500,000 by lifting the World Darts Championship title on Friday, he could upgrade to wherever he wants.

But SunSport understands Littler is instead set to become heavily involved with the Wolves ahead of the 2025 season.

He has already been involved in the launch of this year’s new shirt.

But it is believed bosses are drawing up plans to get him further integrated into the setup.

That could begin as soon as this month.

Littler, who hails from the Padgate area of the town, was backed by boss Sam Burgess and his players as he took on Michael van Gerwen.

After his epic 7-3 win, a further link-up is expected, especially in the coming weeks ahead of the start of the new Super League season.

Warrington kick off their bid to end a 70-year title drought at Huddersfield on Sunday, February 16.

Littler is enjoying some downtime after creating history at Ally Pally over the festive period.

The teenager thrashed MVG to become the youngest player to ever win the PDC World Championship title.

He is due to play next at the Bahrain Darts Masters, which begins on January 16.

But The Nuke has admitted darts will be the thing furthest from his mind before the trip.

Litter, who prefers to spend more time on his Xbox, laughed: “I don’t want to practise really. l just want to chill out.

“It’ll probably be the same as last year, leading up to the Bahrain Masters I won’t pick them up.
