Luke Littler vs Michael van Gerwen preview
96 entered but now only two remain.
And in a year of shocks on the Ally Pally stage, the World Darts Championship final will this year be contested by two of the best in the world.
Luke Littler is aiming to become the youngest ever world champion having reached his second successive final, still only at the age of 17.
Littler dismantled Stephen Bunting in his semi final, which included lots of handshakes, smiles and fist bumps.
One thing is guaranteed tonight – he’ll get absolutely NONE of that from MVG.
Van Gerwen – the current youngster ever champion when he won at 24 – is looking for his fourth world title success and has looked ruthless to get to this stage.
He too was blistering in the semi final – also winning 6-1 when beating Chris Dobey but does go into the final as the outsider.
The pair have met 12 times in 2024 since Littler broke on the scene in last year’s championships.
And the record books can’t split them having recorded six wins each.
Something has to give tonight….

Luke Littler vs Michael van Gerwen predictions and betting tips
Littler for the big win
The teenager will be feeling the nerves, of course he will.
And he’ll be put under serious pressure at points in tonight’s final by the guy who’s conquered all on three occasions previously.
But there’s a steeliness about Littler at the minute and with last year’s experience to prove valuable, he can go one step further and claim victory tonight.

Big fish
The 170 checkout is still a crowd pleaser, obviously.
But the standard of play we’re seeing at the minute means it’s becoming almost a regular occurrence.
Littler banged one in last night in the thrashing of Bunting and the kid can send the Ally Pally crowd wild with another here.
