Manchester United have been offered former Arsenal and Chelsea transfer target Dusan Vlahovic as Juventus look to sign a struggling Old Trafford star.

Vlahovic, who joined Juve at the start of 2022, has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent years.

Arsenal were interested in bringing the striker to the Emirates Stadium before his £64m move to Turin and even reportedly offered former midfielder Lucas Torreira to Fiorentina as part of the deal.

Vlahovic had scored 41 goals across his final two seasons with Fiorentina to catch the eye of several European clubs, including London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

Chelsea’s interest in Vlahovic ramped up in the summer of 2023 but the Blues ended up signing Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal instead.

Vlahovic has been a consistent performer for Juventus, reaching double figures in all three of his full seasons at the club.

But he has not hit the heights many expected he would and is expected to leave Juventus as he heads into the final 18 months of his contract.

Juventus are open to offloading Vlahovic during the January transfer window and have offered the striker to Manchester United as they look to sign struggling Joshua Zirkee.

Juve are keen to sign the Netherlands forward despite his dismal spell in the Premier League. Zirkzee has scored four goals in 27 appearances since his £36.5m move from Bologna last summer.

Zirkzee was subbed off in the first-half of Manchester United’s Premier League defeat to Newcastle United last week and dropped to the bench for Sunday’s clash against Liverpool.

The 23-year-old is said to be one of several United players keen to leave the club this month, though Ruben Amorim recently said he wanted him to stay at the Theatre of Dreams.

‘I want to keep Josh because he gives everything and he’s trying in training,’ Amorim told talkSPORT after the Anfield stalemate.

‘But we don’t know. The window is open and we will see what happens.

‘We just need to focus on training and to take this for the other games. It’s just one point so let’s focus on the performance for the next games.’

If Vlahovic arrives at Manchester United, he would compete with Rasmus Hojlund for a place in the team.

Hojlund cost the Premier League giants more than £70m but he continues to flatter to deceive, scoring just twice in the league this season.

Shortly after he joined Juventus, Vlahovic explained why he snubbed interest from the Premier League to sign for the Italians.

‘There were many rumours about foreign clubs, but the choice was easy because the club and I have a similar DNA,’ he said.

Juventus are currently fifth in Serie A – 12 points behind league leaders Napoli – and 14th in the revamped Champions League group phase.

Amorim’s Manchester United, meanwhile, are only 13th in the Premier League and seventh in the Europa League, with automatic qualification to the knockout stages in the balance.
