Man Utd reveal new 2024/25 home kit with nod to the future as three stars recreate iconic picture

MANCHESTER UNITED have unveiled their new home kit for the 2024/2025 season under Erik Ten Hag which will evoke hope in the future.

The club had Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund – 19, 20, and 21 – recreate their iconic celebration sat on the advertising boards.

It was a picture United fans will be hoping stands the test of time.

Garnacho had just scored the Red Devils second in a thumping 3-0 victory for the home side.

And Mainoo and Hojlund decided to join him in celebration by sitting together on an Old Trafford advertising hoarding.

The three had their arms around each other’s shoulders and went picture viral almost immediately.

And now the three players have taken centre stage again in the kit release photo shoot released on Monday.

Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund were the only three players in United’s 30 man squad deemed “off limits” and identified as safe from the transfer axe this summer.

Before goalkeeper Andre Onana was added to the mix a few days later.

The red shirt is matched with white trim and white shorts and Snapdragon begin their stint as the main sponsor.

The shirt has two shades of red in a gradient design and takes inspiration from a kit worn by the Busby Babes in 1952.

The 1950s shirt was made from reflective materials to aid visibility on the pitch, in the early years of evening games being played under floodlights.

New American sponsors Snapdragon struck a £60million deal with United to replace the German tech firm TeamViewer.

Scott McTominay, Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford also featured in the unveiling.

Fans can now purchase the home kit with prices starting at £80 for adult shirts.
