Manchester United star Harry Maguire has been approached by two Saudi Pro League clubs over a potential move, according to reports.

The summer transfer window remains open in Saudi Arabia until September 23 despite deadline day passing in England on Monday.

That means that United are still free to sell Maguire – but The Sun reports that the player will only consider a switch at the end of the current season.

Maguire is said to have told the two teams that he wants to see out the final year of his deal with United and it’s thought that he’s open to remaining at Old Trafford if the Red Devils wish to keep him.

The 32-year-old has made 249 appearances for United since joining the club in a £80m deal from Leicester City six years ago.

Maguire used to be United’s skipper but was stripped of the captaincy by former head coach Erik ten Hag.

He came close to joining West Ham two years ago but enjoyed somewhat of a resurgence under current United boss Ruben Amorim.

The centre-back was put in a new six-man leadership group by Amorim in August.

It’s believed that United have already rejected several offers for Maguire this summer, with bids from clubs in the Premier League and in Italy.

Turkish side Galatasaray are also known to be admirers of Maguire, who has attracted interest from French duo Monaco and Marseille too.

Former West Ham defender James Tomkins recently admitted that he would love to see Maguire join his former club if he leaves United.

‘I think someone like West Ham would probably suit him,’ Tomkins told Boyle Sports, who offer the latest Premier League betting odds.

‘And I think it would be a good acquisition for the team. They need someone there to steady it a little at the back.

‘The Premier League experience, that counts for a lot. It’s very important that West Ham don’t just look at players that have not played in the Premier League.

‘His level of performances that he has produced most of the time has been… he’s been right up there.

‘So I think West Ham do need to look at someone like him.

‘Obviously they play that three or five, or whatever you want to call it at the back.

‘So yeah, I’m sure he could sit in the middle of that. I could see that and you know, it’d be good to see him at West Ham.’
