Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is the ‘new favourite’ to be the next Premier League manager to leave their role, according to Betfair.
Nuno Espirito Santo became the first top-flight head coach to be sacked this season on Tuesday, with Ange Postecoglou replacing him at Nottingham Forest.
The managerial change has seen the betting markets shift – with Amorim now 9/4, along with West Ham’s Graham Potter, to lose his job next.
United lost 1-0 to Arsenal in their first Premier League game of the season last month.
Amorim’s side then drew 1-1 at Fulham having been unable to hang onto their lead before a narrow 3-2 home win over promoted side Burnley.

United were heading for a draw with Burnley before Bruno Fernandes saved the day in the 97th minute of the match to secure the victory.
The Red Devils’ most shocking result so far this season came in the Carabao Cup as they were eliminated by League Two side Grimsby Town.
Next Premier League manager to leave their role odds

According to Betfair…
- Ruben Amorim (Man Utd) 9/4
- Graham Potter (West Ham) 9/4
- Vitor Pereira (Wolves) 4/1
- Scott Parker, Daniel Farke (Burnley, Leeds) 15/2
- Keith Andrews (Brentford) 12/1
- Unai Emery (Aston Villa) 16/1
After United’s embarrassing Carabao Cup exit, Amorim said that ‘something had to change’, leading to speculation over his future.
‘Sometimes I want to quit, sometimes I want to be here for 20 years,’ Amorim added a few days later after losing to Grimsby on penalties.
‘Sometimes I love to be with my players. Sometimes I don’t want to be with my players. I need to improve on that. It is going to be hard.

‘Sometimes I hate my players, sometimes I love my players – this is my way of doing things. I am going to be like that.
‘In that moment [after the Carabao Cup exit to Grimsby], I was so frustrated.
‘You have experienced people talking about the way I should perform with the media, to be more calm. I am not going to be like that.
‘I am trying to accept that and I am going to be who I am, that’s why I have the passion I have.
‘In that moment I was disappointed. We had a good pre-season and were playing better.
‘That kind of performance, I was really disappointed with everything.’
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom, meanwhile, said on Tuesday: ‘Following Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest exit, Ruben Amorim is now the 9/4 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave their role, having previously trailed the former Forest boss.
‘Graham Potter joins Amorim at the top of the market, with Vitor Pereira 4/1. Meanwhile, newly-promoted Scott Parker and Daniel Farke are both 15/2 to be the next to go, with Unai Emery 16/1 to leave his role after Aston Villa’s poor start to the 2025/26 season.’
