Manchester United have named their asking price for Andre Onana, with two clubs still interested in the goalkeeper, according to reports.

Onana joined United in a £47.2 million move from Inter in 2023 and has already racked up 101 appearances for the Red Devils.

However, the 29-year-old has rarely enjoyed the universal backing of those around Old Trafford due to several high-profile errors during his two seasons at the club.

Onana was even dropped by Ruben Amorim last season, which led to increased speculation over his long-term future at the club.

The Cameroon international is said to be keen to fight for his spot in the starting XI, while United are not actively looking to sell Onana this summer.

However, the Daily Mail report that the club will consider cashing in on Onana should they receive an offer of around £30m.

Monaco had explored a deal for Onana earlier in the window, but it is said that the French club may not be able to stump up that kind of figure for the 29-year-old, who is also likely to command a large wage as well.

Saudi Pro League side SC Neom have also been credited with interest, but their recent signing of Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka perhaps indicates that they have already moved on to other targets.

Asked about his own future at a charity event in Burkina Faso earlier this month, Onana kept his cards close to his chest, saying: ‘Will I leave? I don’t know, we’ll see.’

Should Onana leave the club, a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has been heavily mooted, even if the Argentine international could cost around £45m.

Former United striker Louis Saha believes Martinez could the top-class operator that Amorim’s side need in between the sticks.

‘Every top side needs a top class goalkeeper,’ he told Coin Poker. ‘Emi Martinez has been voted the best in the world for two years.

‘He’s been exceptionally consistent with Aston Villa and Argentina. He’s done really well.

‘Martinez won’t be able to rest on his reputation and just have a few good games. He’ll need to be exceptional every game, and that is what you need especially from a goalkeeper.

‘He’s a great shot-stopper, one of the best in the world. He’s also the kind of character that gives a side confidence, so it’ll be interesting to see if he did end up at Old Trafford.

‘He might not be as good on the ball, but I’ve not been overwhelmed by Onana’s ability with his feet either, there’s only been a few assists.’
