Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee has agreed to join Roma in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.
The 24-year-old was signed by United in £36.5 million deal from Bologna last year but scored just seven goals in 49 appearances in his first season at Old Trafford.
This season, Zirkzee had not started a Premier League game until the 1-0 defeat at home to Everton on Monday and the striker has been exploring his options ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, United have decided to offload Zirkzee in the upcoming window and Roma have already made a loan offer for the Dutch striker, which includes an obligation to buy if they qualify for the Champions League next season.
The report adds that Zirkzee ‘has already said yes’ to joining Roma as he is keen to work with Gian Piero Gasperini, who wanted to sign him for Atalanta.

Roma, who currently sit two points clear at the top of Serie A, are also considering Franculino Dju, who has already scored 19 goals for Midtjylland this season, as an alternative to Zirkzee.
Speaking to Metro earlier this month, Dutch legend Ruud Gullit urged Zirkzee to return to Italy after making the ‘wrong decision’ by joining United.
‘I think from my point of view that he should have stayed in Italy, because he was really striving,’ Gullit said.

‘He was really doing well at Bologna, and I was hoping that he would go to Milan. I think that as soon as he went to Manchester United, it was the wrong decision.
‘I mean, for a lot of players, moving to Manchester United has been the wrong decision. And whoever leaves them, plays well everywhere around Europe. I just hope that there’s a solution for him.
‘Go back to Italy on loan if you can. Just play football. He’s a good player. But at the moment, it’s difficult at Manchester United. They found a little form in the past couple of weeks, and I hope for Manchester United that they continue that. Because a good Manchester United is good for the Premier League as well.’
