Matheus Cunha is keen to work with Ruben Amorim as Manchester United prepare to activate the £62.5 million release clause in his contract with Wolves.
The Brazil international has been Wolves’ standout player this season, scoring 14 goals in the Premier League so far.
Amorim, meanwhile, is desperate to improve United’s attacking options in the summer transfer window and Cunha has been identified as a top target.
According to MailOnline, United want to quickly trigger the £62.5m release clause to sign Cunha when the summer window opens on June 1.
The report adds that Amorim views Cunha as a No.10 in his 3-4-3 formation and that the forward wants to play under the United manager.

Amorim had a brief exchange with Cunha when the pair met during United’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Television cameras spotted the United manager putting his arm around the Wolves forward as they headed down the tunnel together during the half-time break.
Speaking before United’s loss, Amorim also singled out Cunha’s attacking threat.
‘Wolves have many quality players like Matheus Cunha. It won’t be easy,’ Amorim said.
‘I just gave the example of Cunha because I remember about Matheus scoring a lot of goals, just that.’
Elsewhere, MailOnline also reported that United are looking for another quick deal to sign Ipswich striker Liam Delap as soon as the summer window opens.
Delap will have a £30m relegation release clause that can be triggered when Ipswich’s likely demotion from the Premier League is confirmed.
