Matheus Cunha has missed Manchester United’s pre-season friendly against Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian forward, who was signed in a £62.5 million deal from Wolves last month, has featured in both of United’s pre-season friendlies this month.
However, the 26-year-old was not included in Ruben Amorim’s matchday squad for their game against Bournemouth at Soldier Field in Chicago due to concerns over fatigue.
‘It’s fatigue – we need to assess all the players and then with the load in training, we have to be careful with them,’ Amorim said before kick-off.
‘He will be available for the next one. We tried to keep it safe for all the players.

‘Mateus this morning felt a little bit fatigued. He was ready to play, but I know that especially in the beginning, a new club, he wants to give everything but we need to be careful.’
