Micah Parsons’ 2-Word Reaction to Injury Bad News for Packers

Week 15 was a day of carnage for the Green Bay Packers, who saw multiple top players on both sides of the football exit the contest with what could be serious injuries.

The biggest concern of the day revolved around superstar edge-rusher Micah Parsons, who went down with a non-contact knee injury in the second half.

Video caught Parsons sending a two-word message to the sideline immediately following his injury, which makes it appear like seriously bad news for the Packers.

“I’m out,” Parsons clearly says while sitting on the field, per video posted to X by the MLFootball account.

David J. Chao, a sports doctor with a long history of working in the league, said the video appeared to show an ACL tear for Parsons.

Players from both teams took knees, some possibly in prayer, as members of the Green Bay medical staff attended to Parsons on the field.

Patrick Surtain and other Broncos players on a knee around Parsons,” James Palmer of The Athletic wrote.

Surtain, a cornerback and the NFL’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year, consoled Parsons as the Packers pass-rusher made his way off the field.

“Pat Surtain immediately went over to show support for Micah Parsons,” FanDuel captioned a video it shared on X. “Two of the best in the game.”

Parsons entered the week tied for the third-most sacks in the NFL with 12.5 total. He tallied two tackles and a pass breakup against Denver before leaving the game Sunday.

Green Bay entered the week with a half-game lead over the Chicago Bears in the NFC North Division. The Packers will face the Bears at Soldier Field next Saturday, potentially without Parsons depending on the seriousness of his injury.

Parsons was able to exit the field on his own two feet, though medical staff had to assist him into the locker room. He did not bother with the blue tent on the sideline, which is another indication that the issue could be serious.

Shortly before Parsons went down, wide receiver Christian Watson suffered a chest injury that knocked him out of the contest.

Watson took a shot on a deep ball from quarterback Jordan Love in the middle of the third quarter. The wideout left the field and remained on the sideline for a short time, though he eventually ducked into the locker room and did not return.

Surtain intercepted the throw, which led to a touchdown for the Broncos that turned the tide in the game.

Watson entered the contest with 25 receptions, 452 receiving yards and five scores across seven games played in 2025. He missed several outings to start the season following an ACL injury he suffered in January. Watson had three catches for 29 yards in Denver before leaving the game.
