Mohamed Salah has accused a Liverpool fan account of being ‘disrespectful’ over a post which celebrated the signings of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.
Arne Slot’s side have made an excellent start to the new Premier League season with three wins, the most recent of which came against title rivals Arsenal at Anfield last Sunday.
Liverpool fans also enjoyed an impressive summer transfer window as Slot’s side were strengthened by the arrivals of Isak, Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Giovanni Leoni.
After months of uncertainty, Isak completed his £125 million move from Newcastle United to Liverpool on deadline day.
Wirtz was another marquee signing as the Germany international joined in a £116m deal from Bayer Leverkusen in June.

Anfield Edition – a prominent Liverpool fan account on X with over 500,000 followers – posted a graphic on Tuesday which showed Wirtz and Isak alongside Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez and included a message which read: ‘Name a bigger upgrade in footballing history’.

However, Salah took exception to the post as he replied: ‘How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?’
Diaz, who won four major trophies during his time at Liverpool, joined Bayern Munich in a £65.5m deal in July.
Nunez, meanwhile, was also part of Liverpool’s Premier League title success last season before he was sold to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal for £56.6m last month.
Liverpool will be looking to make it four consecutive Premier League wins when they travel to Burnley in their next fixture on September 14.
