Moment raging Ansu Fati kicks cooler and stairs in meltdown after Barcelona sub is made to warm up then sit back down

BARCELONA star Ansu Fati lost his cool after Hansi Flick sent him to warm up but chose not to substitute him on against Celta Vigo.

Fati spent the full 90 minutes on the bench as Barcelona came from behind to beat Celta Vigo 4-3 on Saturday.

The 22-year-old winger has been struggling for game-time this term, making just four La Liga appearances all season.

And his frustrations boiled over when he was asked to warm up by gaffer Flick, only to be told to sit back down when he returned to the bench.

The former Brighton loanee was spotted chucking his bib to the ground and kicking a pitch-side cooler in anger, before kicking the stairs on his way up to his seat too.

Fans reacted to Fati’s fury on social media, with some suggesting that the La Masia graduate won’t be doing himself any favours.

One wrote: “I get the frustration, but you can’t act like that. This will only hurt your chances even more”.

While another added: “Sorry bro but anger solves nothing if the coach thinks you’re not good enough.”

Others suggested that Fati’s frustration was understandable, wondering why he isn’t getting more minutes.

A third commented: “Pau Victor subbed in but not Ansu?? C’mon flick!”

And a fourth posted: “I will never understand why Flick’s doing this to the boy”.

He wasn’t the only member of the Barcelona setup to vent his frustrations during the game either.

The entire Barcelona bench were up in arms after Dani Olmo went down in the box deep into injury time, only for the referee to wave away any foul.

That was until VAR intervened and sent the referee to the monitor to award the spot-kick.

Raphinha dispatched the penalty to complete a spectacular comeback that had seen Barca turn around a 3-1 deficit in the second half.

It was a valuable three points for the Catalan club who are now seven points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the table.
