Bill Belichick’s North Carolina Headlines Today’s Halloween College Football Schedule on TV

North Carolina has not exactly been must-see TV during the first year of the Belichick era. The 2-5 Tar Heels are still searching for their first win against a Power 4 opponent under Belichick.

To North Carolina’s credit, the Tar Heels lost the last two games against No. 15 Virginia and Cal by a combined four points. Belichick attempted to refute reports that he has already discussed a buyout with North Carolina given his slow start.

“Whoever that story came from, obviously it’s already been taken down and everything else,” Belichick noted, per Awful Announcing. “It’s just total — as (Donald) Trump would say, fake news.

“It’s just, I don’t know, it’s just a novel. Look, our consistency has been here since the day that Michael Lombardi and I came in and started hiring people to come into the organization in December,” Belichick added.

“We got here the same day and we’ve been doing it every day, and that’s the way it’s gonna be. I’m sure there’s a lot of other people that want to get clicks and views and posts on ‘myface’ or whatever. But it’s just a bunch of garbage.”

There Are No NFL Games on TV on Halloween

The NFL continues to have more games on holidays, but so far has opted to skip Halloween. Thanksgiving continues to be one of the NFL’s biggest viewing days with the Cowboys and Lions hosting holiday games annually.

More recently, the NFL has challenged the NBA on Christmas Day. The NFL will feature three Christmas Day games this year, all streamed on either Netflix or Prime Video.

The Cowboys-Commanders, Lions-Vikings and Broncos-Chiefs complete the Christmas triple-header for the NFL. As for Halloween, the NFL is sticking with its traditional schedule with the majority of the Week 9 schedule on Sunday. The exception to this is Thursday Night Football and Sunday Night Football games.

Perhaps the NFL will change its stance for future Halloweens, but for now, the league is not going out of its way to broadcast games. If Halloween falls on a Sunday, Monday or Thursday, there have been NFL games.

Otherwise, the NFL has opted to skip specially scheduled games on Halloween, but college football has fans covered.

ESPN Is No Longer on YouTube TV

Fans looking to watch ESPN, ESPN2, ABC and the other Disney owned sports networks on YouTube TV are likely to be disappointed. YouTube TV is no longer carrying these networks for subscribers amid a dispute with the network.

Fans wishing to watch these networks will now need to add another subscription. Viewers can bundle Disney+, Hulu and ESPN together for $29.99 per month. This gives fans access to all the ESPN networks, the ESPN films library, ESPN+ content and Hulu as well as Disney’s streaming platform.
