Oregon once again took care of business in the College Football Playoff and awaits the winner of the Rose Bowl between Alabama and Indiana. While the official college football odds will be released once the matchup is set, DraftKings provided hypothetical lines for the potential semifinal matchup prior to the start of the quarterfinal games.

If Oregon gets a rematch against Indiana, the Ducks are projected to be 3.5-point underdogs against the Hoosiers, per DraftKings. The over-under is expected to be 51.5 points.

Oregon would be favored against Alabama in a possible Peach Bowl matchup. The Ducks are projected to be a four-point favorite in a possible CFP contest against Bama. Vegas predicts the point total to be 52.5.

We will have the official opening College Football Playoff odds once the Peach Bowl matchup is set. Let’s dive into Oregon’s possible opponents.

Who Will Oregon Face Next in the College Football Playoff? Alabama or Indiana Loom in the Peach Bowl

It will be interesting to see who Oregon fans would rather face in the Peach Bowl. Oregon would get a chance for redemption in a rematch against Indiana.

A CFP contest against Alabama would be a more historical matchup for the Ducks. Either way, the Ducks get more than one week to rest before the Peach Bowl contest. Oregon is now just one win away from playing for a national title.

Oregon Could Get a Rematch Against Indiana in the Peach Bowl

Indiana upset Oregon in Eugene with a 30-20 win on October 11. If this matchup takes place again, it would be the Ducks who would be the underdogs in the Big Ten rematch. After the loss, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning praised Indiana as being “more prepared” than the Ducks.

“A really well-coached team. They did a great job in this game,” Lanning said of Indiana after Oregon’s loss on October 11, per USA Today. “They had a great plan. They were able to create pressure throughout. We struggled on third down, struggled to protect the quarterback. Ultimately they were more prepared for us in this moment.

“… But again, unbelievably prepared and great team, coach (Curt) Cignetti, their quarterback (Fernando Mendoza) played well, their defense played really, really well and they did some things that will be good for us to attack and look for the future.”

Peach Bowl Prediction: Oregon Stands Good Chance to Advance to National Championship

Regardless of the Ducks’ opponent, Oregon stands a good chance to advance to the national title matchup in Miami. Indiana could find it challenging to defeat Oregon two times in the same season.

If Alabama can pull off a Rose Bowl upset, the Crimson Tide would have wins over Indiana and Oklahoma. Yet, Oregon is playing as well as any college football team in the country.

Oregon has rewarded bettors this season going 9-5 against the spread.
