After getting the best of the division rival Chicago Bears in Week 13, which propelled them to first place in the NFC North division with a record of 9-3-1, the Green Bay Packers are trending in the right direction at the right time, with four games left in the regular season.
Even though the Packers are on a roll, winning four straight games and taking the lead in their division, Green Bay has an incredibly tough stretch moving forward, starting with the 11-2 Denver Broncos, who have won 10 games in a row heading into this Week 14 matchup at Empower Field at Mile High.
Packers’ LaFleur Shares Interesting Thoughts on Broncos’ Defense

The Packers will be put to the test on the road on Sunday, as the Broncos will not go down without a fight, especially on the defensive side of the football.
Ahead of this potential Super Bowl preview, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked about how he sees his offense finding enough plays to get the best of the Broncos’ defense.
“That’s a hell of a question,” LaFleur said during his media availability. “I think everybody is trying to figure that out right now.”
Scoring points against one of the best defenses in the NFL will be no easy task, and LaFleur is well aware of that fact as he prepares for this matchup in Denver.
“They just do a great job,” LaFleur said. “Vance [Joseph] does a hell of a job putting his guys in position, and there’s just not really a weak link out there when you look at their front, their backers, their back end. They’ve got players across the board. The sack numbers are pretty crazy. Their run defense is pretty crazy. So you couple that and then you have a legitimate shutdown corner. I think the safeties are excellent. [Ja’Quan] McMillian does a great job, [Riley] Moss does a great job. So they’ve got a lot of great players, and they put them in great position.”
It’ll be interesting to see what prevails on Sunday, whether it is Jordan Love leading the Packers’ potent offense or Patrick Surtain and company containing the firepower of one of the best teams in the NFC.
Packers Get an Update on WR Dontayvion Wicks

Even though the Packers have star wide receivers Jayden Reed and Christian Watson back on the field after battling injuries, wideout Dontayvion Wicks is dealing with an ankle injury.
“He’s been battling through that, and I would say it is day-to-day,” LaFleur said of Wicks. “He was limited in practice, so we’ll see how he progresses. But certainly, we need him out there.
“He’s a guy, you could see it early in the routes he was running. There was one in particular, might’ve been the first play of the game, where Jaylon Johnson is pressed on him, and his ability to get a guy to move off the spot is pretty impressive.”
Fortunately, the Packers are in a good spot with Watson and Reed leading the way for the receiving corps, but getting Wicks healthy and on the field is ideal for this team that aims to contend for a title.
